The Digital Ark (TDAC) works with Digital Library Technology Services at New York University (NYU) on digital preservation projects. An initial project involved the digitization of a series of rare Spanish Civil War Negatives. This Abraham Lincoln Brigade Archive Collection represents the largest and most important resource for the study of the participation of American volunteers in the War. The collection was maintained under strict climate and security controls at all times, transportation was provided by fine art shipping handlers, and deliverables were provided via our FTP site. Next TDAC provided digitization services for over 36,678 pages to be included in the Ancient World Digital Library, an online initiative of the Institute for the Study of the Ancient World to provide access to these scholarly materials. TDAC adheres to NYU’s detailed digitization specifications including resolution requirements, metadata formatting, file conversions, film targets, and JHOVE verification.
