Brian Grogan

Photography + Preservation Associates is a firm dedicated to historic documentation and the exploration of land use and preservation issues through contemporary photography. Their projects to date have involved interdisciplinary collaboration with architects, archaeologists, engineers, cultural geographers, historians and landscape architects. Recent work includes the Historic American Buildings Survey and the Historic American Engineering Record (HABS/HAER), which documents historic structures and industrial archeology for the Library of Congress to preserve a legacy of the build environment of the United States. The director, Brian Grogan, has produced more than 5,000 photographs for the HABS/HAER collection.
